Trainer at DunsNRoses
Gena Loper
Head Trainer & Owner
Gena's riding career began over 50 years ago and has not slowed down since. Her first love was dressage, followed by jumping, before finally settling down to western pleasure and the all-around events. Gena does enjoy the occasional weekend team sorting competition. Gena says that one day she will push colt starting to the side, but right now her passion for the young horses is strong and that is not going anywhere anytime soon.
20 years ago Gena and her husband Ken began their breeding adventure and since then have produced multiple ABRA and IBHA World and Reserve World Champions as well as AQHA and AQHYA World Show qualifiers. Gena and Ken's stallion, Dun Goin Steady, has proven that color can win, even in the AQHA ring. Their goal is to continue to bring versatility, reliability, and diversity to the regional AQHA shows in the Northwest.
In addition to the training and breeding program, Gena and Ken own Post Falls Equestrian Center (PFEC), the home of DunsNRoses Ranch, where they provide quality training and boarding. This lifestyle is one that they enjoy, even in the cold winter months. One sub-division of PFEC is Gena's reproductive services such as mare and foal care, ultra-sounding, artificial insemination, foaling, and more!
Gena, Ken, and the entire DunsNRoses Ranch team take great pride in the fact that they PRODUCE, PROMOTE, and PERFECT!
